board (west wall) of the sanctuary foyer.
THIRD SUNDAY EVENINGS have been designated as Fellowship
Night. Small groups are put together for a three-month period.
They meet in homes, or perhaps at the park, (be as creative as
you wish), everyone brings snacks to share, and there is a brief
devotional. If you wish to be added to the fellowship night
rotations please let Carla know today, as new groups are being
formed.
ALL SENIORS (50 and better) are invited and urged to come
to FBC Fellowship Hall on Thursday, August 21 at 11 a.m. for
our senior choir practice. This is not a long-term commitment.
This fun group will sing for one Sunday worship service in
September, and we need YOU. Talent is not a requirement! Please
come, bring a covered dish, and then stay for the Golden Heirs
potluck luncheon at noon.
WOMEN’S BASH - You, women of all ages, are invited on
Saturday, August 23 from 10-11:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall, for
a time of fun, fellowship, snacks, (and chocolate!) If you need
child care, please call Mary Ellen at 646-0989, so adequate
arrangements can be made. Don’t miss the blessings!
FBC FAMILY TREE - The need for methods of staying in
touch and connected within our church body has been recognized
and, to help with that need, the “FBC Family Tree” is in its
development stages. We need people interested in having 2-3
family units under their watchcare. (i.e., checking in from
time-to-time, letting them know they can call if they have a
need or concern…) If you would like to be a care group leader,
or if you have questions, please call the church office or
contact Paula Grozinger.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE - Young Adult Small Groups are
beginning on Wednesday, September 3, evenings 6:30 –7:30 for a
time of Bible Study, videos, and sharing on real-life issues.
Open to all young adults…married or single, with kids or
without, we plan to meet in Room 101A near the sanctuary. If
you are interested or have questions, please call Max & Kathy
Smith, 646-0830.
THANK YOU - Dear VBS Kids & FBC: Thank you so much
for collecting goodies and supplies for us here! It is so
awesome to have such a supportive home church–even after my
parents have moved! I already received the digital voice
recorder (wonderful!) and I’m sure I’ll receive the rest soon!
I hope this was a great experience for all of you! My prayer is
that this helps all of the kids especially begin to have
Christ’s heart for the nations! Love and
blessings, Whitney Prewitt
